Established in 1993, NutriData was formed in response to the food industry's growing need for professional, cost effective nutrition analysis and food labeling services. Additionally, we offer the food industry expertise in food manufacturing, school foodservice and product development. Under the direction of Carol Pirrone, Registered Dietitian, M.S., and member of the American Dietetic Association, NutriData pioneered the the industry with professional nutrition analysis and nutrition labeling services for the food industry.
Meet Our Team of Professionals
Carol Pirrone MS, RD, Founder and CEO – NutriData was established in 1993 when the labeling law was first enacted. Under the direction of Carol Pirrone, Registered Dietitian, M.S. and member of the American Dietetic Association, NutriData pioneered the food industry in providing professional nutrition analysis and nutrition labeling services. Carol Pirrone, M.S., R.D. received her undergraduate degree in Dietetics and Food Administration at California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, CA and Master of Science Degree in Foods and Nutrition at California State University, Long Beach. She has extensive knowledge and experience in nutrition labeling, regulatory compliance, food manufacturing, school foodservice programs and product development. She has worked in the food industry for over thirty years; 16 years with NutriData.

Harry Messersmith, President – Prior to joining NutriData, Harry worked with one of the largest food brokers in California and has owned his own brokerage firm, representing products for food service and schools. He has worked extensively with buyers and distributors to create products for individual districts’ needs. He has worked directly with the second largest school district in the U.S., LAUSD, where food items were purchased through an extensive bid system. His bidding expertise resulted in many “multiple year” contracts.
Stella Lee, B.S., Nutrition Analysis Specialist - Stella initially received internship experience at NutriData and has since joined our team. She is currently working towards certification with the American Dietetic Assiciation for her R.D. (Registered Dietitian ) crediential and studying for a Masters Degree in foods and nutriton.
Caroline Tchapadarian, B.S., Nutrition Analysis Specialist – Caroline Tchapadarian has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Food Administration with emphasis in Dietetics from California State University, Fresno. She has extensive experience in food manufacturing and production, including laboratory analysis and food service management. She has been working in the food industry for over 10 years.
Fatima Villalobos B.S. M.S., Nutrition Analysis Specialist – After receiving a B.S. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the University of California, San Diego, Fatima decided to turn her efforts towards nutrition, disease prevention, exercise, and food science. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Nutritional Science at San Diego State University and has researched a variety of topics related to nutrition, exercise, and food. She is an avid runner, and encourages everyone to achieve their personal health goals through healthy foods and exercise.
Fatima joined NutriData in 2008, and brings her widespread knowledge of nutritional science. Fatima
has been working with NutriData specializing in recipe
analysis for cookbook publishers.
Teresa Frazer, B.S, Nutrition Analysis Specialist– Teresa Frazer attended California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo and California State University Northridge where she graduated 1985 with a BS degree in Food Science and Nutrition. She more recently has worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District Food Services Division. She has worked in the private sector in product development and private consulting. Terersa has been working with NutriData specializing in recipe analysis for cookbook publishers.
Lenora Dannelke, Freelance Writer - Lenora Dannelke covers food, wine and travel for diverse publications, including Women’s Health, Today’s Dietitian and Backpacker. The co-author of Frommer’s Philadelphia & the Amish Country shares her home in the historic district of Allentown, Pennsylvania, with her multi-generational family, an adopted boxer, and 20,000 books. Lenora has been working with NutriData specializing in recipe analysis for cookbook publishers.
Lisa McFarland, Customer Service Manager – Dedicated to customer service, Lisa plays a role in developing and managing relationships with current and potential clients. Lisa is currently attending Orange Coast Community College to further her educational goals.
Shane McKinney, Accounting Assistant - Shane is a graduate of San Clemente High School and is currently attending Saddleback College, majoring in Accounting. He enjoys surfing and is a committed employee here at NutriData.
Kevin Pirrone, Office Assistant -. Kevin graduated from San Clemente High School and is now currently attending The California Polytechnic University of Pomona. Kevin also enjoys tennis , dirt biking, mountain biking, camping, and road trips. He works with NutriData during the summer and holidays.
